Job Description

Joining Globalgig you will have the ability to apply your years of experience in technology and join the engineering and sales team in supporting and architecting solutions for our customers.

You will work with our sales team to establish relationships with customers with the goal of guiding them down a path to solve existing complex challenges. Helping them detect and identify cost savings and address technical challenges while staying aligned with industry best practices.

Our prospective customer environments have challenges that require innovative solutions. The Globalgig Sales Engineering team is continuously evolving our understanding of SD-WAN and SASE platforms as well as all the accompanying components (i.e. Circuits, OOBM, LTE, Managed Services, Professional Services, etc). As a member of the Sales Engineering team, you will be a critical component in the successful transformation of our customer journey to a more resilient, scalable, and secure network!

Core Focus

  • Present yourself as a trusted advisor to customers while working with our Account Teams
  • Identify and document specific problems with prospective and current customers
  • Understand and document customer success criteria and incorporate into solution design
  • Provide go-forward strategies which can be solved through the deployment of solutions
  • Architect and propose validated solutions which address identified challenges
  • Lead discovery conversations with customers
  • Continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership
  • Product Expert in complimentary technologies (SASE, SD-WAN, public cloud, etc)
  • Effectively present and describe differences between products in our portfolio
  • Act as the customer advocate for any issues that require technical assistance
  • Provide Support to AE Team with resolution and responses to customers questions during Pre-Sales
  • Providing and Leading demos to prospective and current customers


Preferred Skills

  • SD-WAN Architectures and providers
  • SASE concepts and Zero Trust Networking architectures
  • Broad Vendor Awareness in both SD-WAN and SASE
  • SaaS application and Cloud Enablement Paths
  • Remote user access technologies and strong networking background
  • Next Generation Firewall capabilities
  • Ability to work within a global team providing support to both Sales and Technical teams
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Strong presentation skills both internally and externally

Additional Notes

  • Salary range $75,000 – $125,000
  • Previous technical sales or channel sales a strong desire
  • Solution-selling experience (vs. product focused sales)
  • Comfortable talking about technical challenges with decision makers
  • Able to convey challenging and complex concepts to a broad audience
  • Remote position with 20% travel
