About Globalgig
Our Leadership
Executive Team
The team leading Globalgig has built businesses from zero, managed exits, run global service organizations, and sat on the other side of the managed service relationship they now deliver. That experience shapes every commitment we make.
Ernest Cunningham
Ernest founded Globalgig on a conviction he formed running one of the fastest-growing companies in America: that enterprises deserved a managed network provider that operated at carrier scale without the commercial and operational limitations of owning one.
Before Globalgig, Ernest founded and led One Source Networks from zero to $100 million in eight years, earning recognition as one of Inc. Magazine’s top ten fastest-growing companies before its acquisition by GTT Communications in 2015. Prior to that, he held senior executive positions at Broadwing and Level 3 Communications, where he led National Accounts and Wholesale Market programmes.
At Globalgig, Ernest sets the strategic direction, shapes the commercial model, and holds the organisation to the standard he knows is achievable because he has achieved it. The founding conviction, accountability for outcomes, not just delivery of connectivity, runs through every service tier and every customer relationship.
He is the kind of CEO who still wants to know what happened when a customer has a problem.
Jim Tipton
Jim has spent a decades-long finance career at the intersection of growth and discipline, on the principle that the two are not in tension: the businesses that grow fastest are the ones built to last.
Before Globalgig, Jim was CFO of One Source Networks, where he oversaw the financial architecture that enabled the company’s rapid growth and managed its sale to GTT in 2015. Across his career he has led M&A on both the buy and sell sides and raised over $500 million across transactions.
At Globalgig, Jim drives the operational and commercial model that lets the business partner for the long term rather than deal to deal, and keeps a multi-year Inc. 5000 company built to last rather than built to sell.
Gina Nomellini
Gina brings extensive communications and technology leadership experience across startups and large global organisations to her role as Chief Operating Officer at Globalgig, having built her career across some of the most demanding environments in the industry.
Before Globalgig, Gina served as CMO at GTT Communications, leading brand development, marketing communications, and product functions, and as CMO at One Source Networks prior to its acquisition by GTT. Before those roles she served as Vice President of Global Product and Marketing at Telstra, with earlier positions at Level 3 Communications and Broadwing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and serves as a Global Ambassador for Télécoms Sans Frontières, the world’s first emergency technology NGO.
At Globalgig, Gina leads operations, engineering, service delivery, product, marketing, and vendor management. The breadth of that remit is intentional: these are not separate disciplines at Globalgig. They are the same conversation, led by someone who has run each of them at scale.
Joe Sikora
Joe leads Globalgig’s global revenue organization on a conviction formed across decades of building high-growth software, security, wireless, and connectivity businesses: that customers are best served when you understand their environment before you recommend anything that goes into it.
Before Globalgig, Joe built a $350 million business from the ground up and held senior sales leadership roles at GTT Communications, Broadwing, One Source Networks, Airband, and MCI, consistently leading teams that delivered non-incremental growth. He holds an MBA from Ashland University and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from Ohio University.
At Globalgig, Joe shapes how we engage customers, not as accounts to be managed but as environments to be understood. He leads with the customer’s business, security, and operational challenges rather than a product portfolio, and holds his team to solutions that improve resilience, simplify complexity, and create measurable outcomes.
Gregg Rowe
Gregg leads Globalgig’s channel program on a conviction few channel executives can claim, because few have lived the whole arc: that you support partners best when you have stood where they stand, on the engineering side, the sales side, and the operational side.
A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois with an MBA from Washington University’s Olin School of Business, Gregg moved from engineering into progressively senior roles across robotics, information technology, and telecommunications. He held wholesale, channel, and operational leadership positions at CenturyLink and Vonage before joining Globalgig.
At Globalgig, Gregg runs a channel program on a few non-negotiable principles: operate with integrity, understand each partner’s business model, and be accountable, responsive, and transparent. The engineering background is not incidental. It means his partners are supported by someone who understands what they are selling.
Jamie Pugh
Jamie co-founded Unified Scale, the network architecture firm Globalgig acquired in 2019, and joined not to manage inherited technology but to build what the business needed to become.
Before Globalgig, Jamie led engineering at One Source Networks and held CTO roles at OuterNet and Symbiot, moving over two decades in enterprise networking from solutions architect to platform and product leadership. He holds the kind of background that shows up in the work rather than the title.
At Globalgig, Jamie leads global technology strategy, solutions architecture, and product innovation. He built Orchestra Insight, the AI-driven observability platform made for the complex, multi-vendor environments managed service providers actually run, and now leads the Platforms and Automation organization, turning complex service delivery into composable, AI-orchestrated workflows across quote-to-cash, network design, service delivery, and security operations.

SVP Vendor Management
David manages Globalgig’s relationships with network carriers, equipment vendors, and platform partners across the full service portfolio. With senior positions at GTT, One Source Networks, EarthLink, Airband, Level 3, and Broadwing behind him, he brings the kind of carrier-side knowledge that translates directly into better commercial terms, faster fault resolution, and solutions that are designed around what actually performs rather than what is easiest to procure. When a carrier relationship needs leverage applied, David applies it.

Michael McKinnon
SVP Solutions and Engineering
Michael McKinnon
SVP Solutions and Engineering
Michael has built his career around one mission: taking the complex to completed. Leading the Solutions and Engineering team at Globalgig, he works with customers globally to translate real-world network and security challenges into architectures designed for where the landscape is going, not where it has been. Working directly alongside customer network and security teams gives his team a ground-level understanding of what organizations actually face in production, not on paper. His public engagement and speaking align with Palo Alto Networks, reflecting the depth that the team brings across networking and security, and how that translates into solutions that perform in real-world environments.
Zach Frankhouser
SVP SASE Sales
Zach Frankhouser
SVP SASE Sales
Zach has spent his career at Globalgig, progressing from Account Executive to SVP of Network and Security Sales. This progression reflects what happens when someone understands the product well enough to sell it and the customer well enough to build a team to do it consistently. His team leads enterprise NetSec sales globally, and his writing on global WAN transformation, including the challenge of moving large organizations off MPLS and onto next-generation architectures without operational disruption, reflects the depth of understanding he brings to every engagement.
